Jar with two handles in light blue and purplish red glaze
- Showa period, 1928

Crafts – Ceramics
A piece challenging the technique of Jun-yao in the Song to Yuan Dynasty. A devitrified bluish opaque glaze is applied entirely, and copper red glaze partially applied above this, appears in two spots with the color scheme varying from deep blue to red-purplish color on the body. The plain form shows consciousness toward the Mingei ( folk art ) movement which was already active at this time.(「Reviewing Modern Ceramics」2021)
