A large pair of vases coated with thick celadon glaze, with a peony arabesque pattern cut out and applied to the body. It is a typical example of the Longquan Kiln of the Chekiang Province, which were imported in the 13th to 14th century, of which many are passed down within temples and shrines.(「New Edition Grace, Beauty and Inqenuity-Masterpices of the Museum of Imperial Collections, Sannomaru Shozokan Vol.1」2003)
