Chrysanthemum branch
A chrysanthemum branch formed by lost wax casting close to actual size. It shows the skillful formative ability of the artist, Oshima Joun (1858-1940), expressing the difference between textures of petals and leaves, by the finish of the casting surface. Gift from Emperor Showa to Empress Kojun celebrating the Enthronement Ceremonies of 1928. (「Art Works to Celebrate the Enthronement Ceremonies」2019)
