Crafts – Arms / Armor
A tachi sword by Mitsutada, considered as the progenitor of the Osafune sword smiths. Many swords are unsigned, and there are very few tachi swords with long inscriptions of Mitsutada, making this one a valuable example historically. This sword was presented to Emperor Showa from Iwasaki Koyata in 1933.(「New Edition Grace, Beauty and Inqenuity-Masterpices of the Museum of Imperial Collections, Sannomaru Shozokan Vol.1」2003)
